For the moment, I've reverted back to the older keymap to get my volume
item changing key back.
I know I could assign one myself, but I think for now, I'll try and
stick with the dev keymaps till I'm less retarded with reaper 'grin'.
I'm sure there must be a good way to do this, but I miss being able to
do all those item specific things you could do with that fake tab order
UI thing,
I was trying to pan an item the other day, and I looked through item
properties and settings, and the only thing I could do was to render out
to another track and then back in by putting panned items on separate
tracks,
and dumping it that way.
If we did have default key map actions, then volume and pan per item
would be the most common things people would want I'd imagine.
I don't know sws well enough yet, but the commands I tried only worked
on the track, not item.
I'm sure there's one to do that,
well, looking through the 4 billions possible actions to asign 'grin'.
there's got to be.
I guess I shouldn't feel so bad if reaper stumps someone like Snowy,
and he's one of the smartest guys I know, but it's like a bunch of magic
elves on lsd got together
and said, let's make a tool,
and we'll all do our own thing, and then let them figure it out ha ha ha.
