You'll hate this...
The track menu is...
wait for it...
the track menu.
Yep, that's right.
Across the menu bar, you have:
file,
edit,
View,
Insert,
item,
track,
options,
actions,
and help.
Under the track menu, you'll find the options for changing automation 
modes, which is how I've been doing it since switching 94% of the time 
to OSARA from ReaAccess.
I haven't actually found a way to do this for the master track yet using 
OSARA, which I sometimes do for automating speed.
Granted, I also haven't tried very hard.
