Hello Daniel!
Great tip!
Here did something like another effect and it worked!
Thanks!
I'm slowly migrating from Sonar to reaper because the first
although much more complete is already quite obsolete.
We need to monitor the market of music production despite the lack of
accessibility in many programs in use today and that's what
worries me.
Everyone considers now a pro tools the default tool that a studio
should have, but I have not had opportunities to test the software and
its accessibility in
mac.
My Sonar unfortunately is not licenced, although only to serve me
household and know that this is wrong anyway.
But, honestly I do not know if I would have some success in getting the Sonar
8.5 original
today or in the future, since it would be with a single stock of this product would be
company dancing dots from what I've read about it. Also, because
as I said, the trend now is the software that the market
considers as standard. We can not get caught because of a
accessibility.
Already the reaper seems to be a more humble software, including use by
some studios here in Brazil.
It has a low cost, but also does not require anyone to pay for it,
and may, for domestic use a evaluate version.
Interestingly, some functions are easier to do it than
that at Sonar.
In Sonar, I enjoyed using automation assigning parameters
I wanted directly to a function of my controller, which is a
yamaha keyboard
psrs910.
For example, changing the volume, or pan, or even the level of a
effect hanging from a track buss with the modulation button.
It would be possible to do this in Reaper too?
I read something about it in the creation of shortcut keys for some
actions, but I wanted to make following the example of Daniel, using the
parameters of a plug-in (shift + p).
If anyone can help me, I would be very grateful.
Also use Reaper 4 and reaaccess scripts.
And sorry... My english is very very bad.
Greetings,
Gabriel

Hi guys!
Just sharing how I work with automations...
It may not be the most practical, common, or the easy way to do this, but... For me,
it works as I want...
For example: I have a track with a looped car engine sample, that I want to
pitch down to simulate the deceleration of the vehicle...
To do this, I use the Reapitch...
First, I add the plugin to the track;
After, on the plugin window, I press the "Param" button, that will open a menu;
On the menu that opened, I select the "Fx parameter list", that will open other menu;
After, I select "Show track envelope", that have all the parameters of the plugin that can be accessed with the shortcut shift+p;
There, I select the "1: Shift (full range)" parameter. It will be marked;
So, I go back to the track view, and press tab to change the "Automation mode" of the track. I change to "Write";
Now, I go to the position where I want that the pitch change, press shift+p and adjust the parameter that I selected before;
After it, I press space to play, pause and write the envelope on that position;
And I repeat the last two steps until I get the effect that I want...
When it is done, I change the "Automation mode" of the track back to "Trim".
Well... Is it. As I said, it may not be the most practical, common,
or the easy way to do this, but... For me, it works as I want...
Hope it helps!
And... Sorry for my english.
P.s.: I'm using the Reaaccess with Reaper 4.55.
Best regards,
- Daniel -
