There are options in preferences to deal with sends. I believe you can
designate default sends behaviour so that it is usually post fader post pan.
Having ensured that your preferences are appropriately configured, you would
have to recreate the send so that it takes your new default behaviour.
To reconfigure your existing send, if you are using Rea Access, you want to
press shift I as opposed to I, which will give you options relating to pan
law and where in the mix the send hangs out - your options include post FX
and post fade. Post fade is the one you want. Using NVDA, you can also
review around to find the pre post settings from the dialogue where you
initially designated the send. My sends default to pre fade post effects,
you'll want yours post everything.
Also, just checking that you do have your audio set to send to channels
three and four of the track you want to receive it.
Hope this helps,
Justin

Subject: [Rwp] More Reaper Inquiries
Hi all,
OK, now that I've gotten folders to work, I'm attempting the sidechaining /
ducking example in the user guide. The thing is, apart from having to make
certain changes to account for trying the example from a keyboard rather
than a mouse,, I followed the instructions to the letter, but can't seem to
get ReaComp to have any effect on the folder I apply it to. I noticed that
the plug-in pin connecter dialog is totally inaccessible, so I verified my
pin connections in the context menu accessed by right-clicking the button
that displays the inputs and outputs for the selected effect.
I have a suspicion my problem lies in not properly creating a send from the
vocal track to my folder. The user guide says to click and drag from the IO
button of the vocal track to the IO button of the folder containing all the
other tracks. Apparently, this will create a send from the vocal track to
the folder, and open the controls for that send, allowing me to change its
options. What I did instead was open the routing window for the vocal track,
and added a send from there, though I didn't see an option to change the
newly created send's type, as the user guide says it should be Post Fader
(Post Pan). Could this possibly be my problem?
Regards,
Gavin
