calculating milliseconds in music and more over in midi? its the first
time i have Heard such a thing. With reaper's midi editor you will not
be able to calculate milliseconds either. Not sure what do you exactly
mean by that. Qws uses musical bars, divided into pulses or beats,
then divided into what the programmer calls ticks. There are 192 ticks
into a single pulse or beat. They are not milliseconds and they cannot
be milliseconds because the tempo you have influences the playback
speed. Same goes for reaper, unless you set your Project audio items
to timebase in time, seconds milliseconds minutes, but this is only
for audio, never for midi. If you have a beat in 4/4 time,, you can
divide it by two by shifting the note 96 ticks. divide it by 4
inserting a note every 48 ticks. and so on and so on.

Definitely should be out of the scope of the list for me to go to the
trouble of to explain such things, but it shows how missunderstanding
a concept can create so many problems at once. I hope my explanation
was not in vain.
