well its interesting because the overlap thing is just too intuitive
to be true haha. You can I asume, check ítem positions via their
context menus and figure out from there if they overlap. But today was
a bit of a revelation. I was recording something, then I made a
misstake. So I created a new track, started to record close to the bar
that I had made a misstake on, then cut off the bit that I recorded
until it was just about right for the misstake to disappear and moved
the items of the bottom track to those at the top, did the default
crossfade, and the result was just too unbelievable to be true. So I
guess that is one case where you would use it... but since this is
more hearing tan editting I really don't see it becoming a priority at
least for editting audio in this way.
Glad to know that the other ones are already there. They are not
strictly necessary for surviving, but they can make working just a
Little easier.
