[Rwp] Fading part of a track

Honestly, for volume changes for spoken word voiceover type stuff, I
don't bother with automation. Instead, I split items and make volume
changes to those individual items, then shrink/grow left or right edges
so that they overlap, and thus, crossfade. You are basically just
crossfading the same piece of audio at one volume to another piece of
that same audio at a different volume. The length of the overlap
determines the length of the fade. This also works for panning.
You can even change the shape/type of fade used, though knowing which
you are using is a bit tricky.
By the way, Chris, a useful action when working with automation
envelopes: automation: write current values from cursor to end of project.
