I might be missing the point here, but to make that a sweeping high
pass, couldn't you just modify the frequencies it's sweeping to be
higher in the list of parameters that show up when you hit Shift+P? I
used multiple instances of that plugin to convert vocals into a synthy
type sound in a mix recently, and it worked just as well on the higher
stuff without any additional coding.
