[RWP] Anybody using Reaper 3.76 and sound forge 8 on Windows 8?

Won't have to worry for 5 more years.
at least.

Just because you can't buy w7 from best buy any more, o e m vendors will 
still have it, and there are still lots of places you can still get xp 
even if you know where to go.

I wouldn't put xp on the web, but you're not doing that with your daw 
anyway I hope.

How many times did m s extend xp life?

Security updates will continue with w7,
and no telling how many operating systems will go by in the mean time 
till another reasonable one comes along for us.

Also, since w8 is another transitional os, many vendors offer it with a 
downgrade optionm,
and some even come pre-loaded that way.

Just read a good article about this event in windows secrets,
I think I'm going to just by-pass win8 like I did vista, and see what 
win 10 has to offer.

According to the hype, it's the good old days back again to some degree.
People bitch so m s listened.

Your only concern really for getting a new machine is to make sure that 
it supports boots options, cms and turning off secure boot and such so 
you can use another operating system.
