Hermann,
One has to select the midi data on a track, in Reaper the data on tracks are called Items.
Now, to move to and select an Item, press Control plus Shift plus the letter E. This should put you in the Event list. Use the Up/Down Arrows to move between Events. From here you would be able to manipulate the midi data.

I move between tracks with up or dow n arrow keys. How can I select a
track? When I move to a track, I press ctrl+alt+e, Jaws says "midi
editor". In view menu I don't find the mode menu and the event list.
