I've assigned the following actions to keystrokes in order to make my
automation and envelope editing life easier:
1. Envelope: Insert new point at current position
2. SWS/BR: Move edit cursor to previous envelope point and select it
3. SWS/BR: Move edit cursor to next envelope point and select it
4. SWS/FNG: Move selected envelope points down
5. SWS/FNG: Move selected envelope points up
So I'm editing envelopes as follows:
1. I select envelope by using control+l or control+shift+l, these are
keystrokes to select next and previous envelope in the keymap that I'm
using (the action name is Insert new point at current position).
2. Once envelope is selected, I move the cursor to a beat or measure or
something where I want to add an envelope point.
3. I press my keystroke to add a new point (action name is Envelope:
Insert new point at current position).
4. I repeat steps 2 and 3 until I'm done with adding all points to all
desired places.
5. Once all points are added, I move the edit cursor from point to point
(actions SWS/BR: Move edit cursor to previous envelope point and select
it and SWS/BR: Move edit cursor to next envelope point and select it).
6. Once I move my cursor to the point that I'd like to change, I can
then move it up or down (actions SWS/FNG: Move selected envelope points
up and SWS/FNG: Move selected envelope points down).
Of course you can move selected point or points left and right as well,
by asigning the appropriate actions to keystrokes.
P.s., I'm using OSARA and the keymap provided in the OSARA's readme.
