[Rwp] Question about Reaper on windows with osara, concerning midi learn functionality.

Hi folks, so I’ve used Reaper on the mac a tiny bit over the last year, but ProTools has been my primary dAW. But ProTools will not allow me to automate plugins with any midi control service, nor will it allow me to automate plugins using my computer keyboard. So, given that I have a laptop with Windows (currently windows 7, although I can upgrade) I think I am going to have to give windows a go, since I could really do with being able to automate things with faders and knobs without having to spend £3000 on a specific type of control surface. Plus, accessibility for Reaper seems much more developed on windows than on mac.

Using Osara, is it possible to use midi learn. I’ve read the information on https://github.com/nvaccess/osara and I know that I can see and interact with the automatable parameters, but I just wanted to make sure people were then able to attribute this to a knob or fader on their midi control surface.

Thanks. I won’t have access to my windows laptop until next week, but I just wanted to make sure midi learn was accessible before I bothered to do anything about my plan to try Reaper with Osara on Windows.
