[Rwp] Reaper and EzDrummer

I haven't worked in Reaper in a while, but now I just have to revive
this old thread - at least in a sense. Hope, you don't mind.
My question is, what's the most efficient way to program drums so that
each hit is at a different velocity? I ask because at the moment all
my MIDI notes have the same velocity and this is obviously not too
realistic.
I guess that the ideal way is to manually adjust the velocity for each
MIDI note, but this seems like a tedious work, especially when I have
already written all the bars. Alex, your beats sound very natural to
me, could you tell me how you do it? Do you make a basic beat with the
correct velocities and than just copy it over to different places and
make adjustments if necessary or do you use the available humanizing
functions in Reaper or Superior Drummer? Alternatively, does somebody
know a good and accessible drum editor? Is Reaper's builtin MIDI
editor of any help to non-sighted persons in this case?
I have a hunch that I'll end up re-doing my drumtrack by triggering SD
from my musical keyboard. Maybe this is my best bet. What do you
think?
Many thanks.
