Hi.
Your frustration seems to suggest that I/someone else indicated that
OSARA was ready to replace ReaAccess. It isn't, and no one has ever
indicated as such. Thus, it's not "incomprehensible" that it doesn't do
certain things at all; it simply isn't done yet. That's the nature of
early previews of software. I haven't even suggested this is an alpha
yet. Your expectations are entirely invalid.
OSARA already does manage context for REAPER's own context sensitive
actions. That is, if a REAPER action suggests it will do something
depending on focus, OSARA will work with this. For example, REAPER's
select all action actually says it will select all items or tracks,
depending on focus. It does not have a context sensitive action for
select all which selects only items on the current track. Similarly,
REAPER does not have in-built, context sensitive actions for nudging
volume. If you check the action descriptions, you will see this.
Finally, OSARA is not going to become what you want it to become unless
you actually bother to report issues and requests you have via GitHub as
I have requested several times already. If you want a context sensitive
select all action, report it. If you want context sensitive volume
actions, report it. Frankly, if you don't bother to report, I won't
bother to even consider implementing.
