[Rwp] How in the world do I select a certain patch?

Something else,
when I did control e to get the midi editor,
on a bass track for instance, I saw stuff that looked like it was from
other tracks.

The bass is on midi channel 2 but I saw stuff from channel 6.

I vaguely remember something about having to make a setting so you only
saw specific events, but can't find that email now.
At that time, I wasn't going to pursue midi with reaper, but now I'm
tryin to give it a fair chance before writing it off as too much fuss
and bother to do something which is so very easy in sonar.
'grin'.
