[Rwp] How in the world do I select a certain patch?

To further exasterbate the issue, when I try and set a program change or
bank msb, lsb on the feeding midi track with the midi control thingy,
it doesn't stick.
I've eliminated all but one track to make sure nothing is conflicting,
just a single midi track and the soft synth.
So, no go on the cakewalk tts.
for the moment.
