[Rwp] a fun Reaper crashing experience

We're still in a transition period going from 32 to 64 bit.

And some things will never make the change properly, it is not trivial
to port a 32 bit plug to 64 bits,
things that are written from the ground up to take advantage of 64 bit
do well, but things that are hacked around don't do as well, and 64 bit
handling of 32 bit processes is not as efficient as 32 native to 32 bit
handling.

So it just depends, you will sometimes get better results from 64 bit,
sometimes 32,
memory of course is a huge deal, 64 bit can take advantage of much more
memory,
but that's not the whole story, often 64 bit plugs if not done properly
can be less stable, and 32 bit plugs have been around forever and so we
have lots of maturity there even after a few years of 64 bit being around.

And this is especially true of the little companies, and single
developers, and the free be
crowd stuff, but in general,
I tend to still work in 32 bit land, I find
accessibility
with some older plugs better,
depending on whether they are bridged or not,
for instance older more accessible versions of the wavs plugs,
later versions don't show their presets as easily,
but if I want to load up a great big 4 gig piano library in sforzando,
I'll go 64 bit.

So it just depends.

I do notice that for good 64 bit plugs in a 64 bit daw, things work very
quickly and that twice as wide data path makes a huge difference.

But everything has to match up just so.

And we surely know that the world is a messy place.
