This happens for example with the isotope plugs, if its in the generic UI its busy and sluggish, the izoptope default UI i can navigate with no problems. Plugs that aren’t accessible but have automobile parameters i have no options but to use the slower generic UI. My main reaper system is on Mavericks. I do notice that VO got a lot snappier with Yocimite and as such am now tempted to upgrade the studio machine to see if its improved. One solution to this problem does seem to be throwing as much RAM at it as possible. I hear machines with apple installed SSD’s and say 16GB of ram fair considerably better. Something to consider for a new machine purchase though this shouldn’t be our solution.

The main annoyances i am attempting to pin point are probably easier explained in voice and i want to get a better understanding before trying to explain in a public forum that include non technical users. Hit me off list if you get a new mac partition going and you want to play with reaper on OS X again.
