Looking at the Mac accessibility API, I don't see a way to retrieve a 
single child; it looks like you have to fetch all children at once. That 
means that you at least have to fetch all children the first time you 
interact with something and perhaps even again if a child is added or 
removed. It's possible I'm missing something, but if I'm correct, that 
would certainly cause some efficiency problems.
