Given that this is a problem with VO that exhibits itself far more
widely than just one window of Reaper, I'd say start emailing
accessibility at apple.com about it if you haven't already. Cite some
examples of their own software where VO is sluggish, and given that
Reaper is a free download I guess you could recommend they test with
that too if there's a stock effect that has enough parameters to
overwhelm VO. You'll need to follow up each time a new version of the
OS comes out with no improvements. I was on the case for a while with
this, but got frustrated with the lack of movement, gave up and went
back to Windows. It'd be good to know someone else is giving them a
hard time about their sucky screen reader in my absence ;)
