Goodfor you man.
Reaper is so cheap and so good that you can't hardly afford not to buy it,
it took me a couple of years to get around to it, but i feel good doing
the right thing.
Especially since they make it so darned easy to authorize, I just hate
these ilock
and internet based authorization schemes that aren't accessible for many
professional products.
I've been happily avoiding those companies while still finding
alternative solutions to get my work done, and make my clients happy.
I think nothing beats
a personal tutor, and I do low priced tutoring in mixing and mastering
and all such things,
I haven't been advertising reaper teaching because I don't feel like I'm
quite up to par for all the crazy reaper stuff yet, most of my students
use sonar and other tools, but as far as the issues with eq,
compressors, sends, routing, fx, and automation and so on and so forth,
been happily and successfully
bringing folks on for a number of years now.
I never thought I'd enjoy teaching so much, but it's been a good thing
for me since I got sick back in 04 and couldn't gig anymore,
there are things around like the
Engineer's Hand Book,
which are a wealth of information,
and many others, even if you don't feel like I would be a good match for
you tutoring,
I would suggest you look at doing that perhaps Scot since he knows
reaper so much better than I do would be up for it, not presuming to
speak for him,
but even a few sessions of it could bring you up to speed in a way
that mere reading and trying to firuge things out on your own might not.
Anyway, just some thoughts.
Fuln times.
