[RWP] parameters added to a track, where do they go?

If I add a parameter to a track by clicking the parameters button, finding the right one on the list, and clicking add to track, I'm assuming its envelope becomes visible and it's automatable through some kind of slider, but how do I access it directly to touch it? I'm thinking this might be the only way to change parameters in plugins where the knobs just aren't accessible. Also, how do I scroll through a huge list of parameters onscreen in the plug-in window itself? I have a plug-in where there are 136 parameters and I can't get past the first page of them, and since it's one of the lesser accessible ones tab doesn't even move through them.
