[RWP] automation and surround sound question

Agreed. I've sometimes slowed down the master play rate and done 
automation at stupid speeds, then play back at normal speed to 
compensate. Just be careful that play rate change isn't automated as 
well, or bad things happen... that is, unless you want that effect. That 
can be fun under the right context.

Of course, none of this addresses anything regarding automating effect 
parameters over time within a project. I really don't know of a good way 
to do that without a control surface.
