[RWP] automation and surround sound question

Questions about automation come up around these parts quite often, and
the unfortunate answer is that it's currently a bit of a mess with
ReaAccess, and so far as I know nobody has figured out a consistent
workflow for it yet. A better approach to automation was on the
features list for ReaAccess 2.0, which was supposedly developed but
has never seen the light of day. For now, what most people are doing
is getting by with item-based effects. It's not as cool as full
automation, but it works for some situations.
