[RWP] Side chains and Reaper

Hi all,
This little guide I wrote talks about audio ducking and how to do it
with the reacomp vst, but setting up a sidechain is basically the same
no matter what you want to do.
Steps for audio ducking in Reaper, using Reaper 3 7 6 and reaaccess:
1. Create two or more tracks.
2. Tab until you get to the number of channels box. The default is two.
Press the right arrow and make sure the tracks are set to four
channels, then press enter. Do this for each track.
3. Place the ReaComp vst compressor on track 1, and make sure the
detector input is set to aux L+R, and not main.
4. Send the compressor to all your other tracks where you want the
compressor to kick in. Tell the track with the compressor to receive
audio from all the other tracks. Don't send anything from track 1 to
these other tracks. You are basically telling the compressor, listen
for audio from these tracks. If you detect anything, fade the audio down.
After sending the audio from your other tracks to track 1 with the
compressor, press Shift+I and shift tab until you hear "Equal 1 2
button." Press the space bar, and you will be placed in a drop down
menu. Arrow down until you hear 3 4, and press enter. Press escape.
Do this on all tracks. You are sending the track channels 1 and 2 to
channels 3 and 4, which are the aux receives of the compressor on track 1.

Tip: You will know the audio ducking is working properly if you can
solo the track with the compressor and hear the compressor fading the
music down and up. Even though you are only hearing the music track
with the compressor, audio from the other tracks is triggering the aux
inputs. Tip 2: This process requires the master track, channels 1 and
2, to be active at all times. Otherwise you won't get any audio!
Turn the master send off if you only want to hear the wet effect, like
a reverb or something. Otherwise, keep it turned on on all tracks.
