[RWP] Using reaper with midi and hardware sounds?

That's not possible without creating an audio track for each midi track, then soloing and recording everything to it's own audio track, then recording in multiple passes. Sends and receives won't do much for you here, because you aren't working with softsynths.

You either record a composite, either by recording the mix of everything to your sound card's input on a midi track, then rendering, or bounce instead, or solo and record multiple passes from your audio input if you want everything on it's own track for further processing.
I did this on a couple of tracks I made with my old Ensoniq TS-12 keyboard from 1993 to get around the 32-note polyphony limitation, and the not so awesome (to today's standards) midi clock. Also gave me a lot of flexibility in terms of using more internal effects, stuff from Reaper, or the ability to send individual parts to outboard gear, all of which I have done.
