Hi there.
I know how to use my midi device in Reaper now if I want to use soft
synth plugins.
However I wonder if anyone here knows how to set reaper up so the
sounds built into the midi keybord is used?
I feel a bit stupid for not figuring this out since it all works with
Quick Windows Sequencer if I set the keybord in what's called
Performance mode.
The keybord i'm using is a Roland Juno-G.
I have it hooked up with midi via usb and also have stereo audio going
to my Focusrite usb sound interface.
When using it with qws I set it up so local mode is off, so the only
sound I'm hearing is the midi data that qws is sending.
I want this to work with Reaper as well if possible.
Also my sound interface has a record monitor on by default so when
using qws all I have to do is turn the keybord on, switch to
performance mode and turn local mode off and then I'm ready to
sequence.
It doesn't seem to be that easy with reaper.
Do I have to have a second audio track monitoring for every midi
track? If the sound interface has the monitoring on by default surely
I shouldn't have to do this as well?
I'm a bit confused and I would be greatful for any help.
Again working with software synths in reaper is way easyer, and I've
even sequenced a bit with that.
