[RWP] a couple questions

Hi,
I have a couple questions regarding audio editing in reaper:
Why can't I copy and paste audio? I sometimes try it, and I am able to
choose the start and end time of the selection and then copy paste but
how do I remove this selection and start over? Because I am only able
to do it once.
And, is this on all tracks or just on one track?

SEcond.. How can I go about looping? I have no idea about how to set
up a region for looping, choosing how many times I want to loop it
etc.
