[RWP] getting a mac for reaper what's the deal??

Hey all, I'm thinking of getting a mac to duel boot windows 7 for use with reaper. 

and i'm wondering if this is a good idea? because I've herd bad things about the latest macs and duel booting them with windows, I've herd there are latency problems. 

Please can some one advice me of the current situation?
