[RWP] Getting sounds from a midi synthesizer to play in Reaper?

Hi Chris,

A question from a real live greenhorne here.

I have a Kurzweil K2600 and an Allen - Heath Zed 10FX usb board in my
little home studio. I also have a fairly new I3, 8gb Win7 desktop.

I got my Kurz to show up in Reaper 4.1, but I can't get any sounds to
come out of my monitors during playback. I could use an Uno midi to usb
i/o from my keyboard into my computer, but I don't know how to set that
up in Reaper while using the Zed for other things.

What, excluding my obvious lack of knowledge and experience am I missing.

Oh yah. Please, when wxplaining, pretend that you are talking to an 8
year old, even if you are just pointing me to a particular part of the
Reaper manual. <grinn>

Here's to learning and growing!

Thanks,

John
