Hi Crystal, it is indeed possible to train your ear to know which
frequencies you're playing with. I'd say your best bet for a learning
tool is the graphic eq provided by Audasity. It offers sliders for
various freqs from 50 to 160000 HZ and is fully accessible with Jaws.
Go to effects menu/equalizer and choose the rather counterintuitive
"graphic eq" option and you'll be golden. Oh, and make sure you have
some audio selected before starting of course. HTH
