there are two main ways to do this in reaper. The first which I find to be the easiest requires you to first add a hotkey to the reaper KeyMap for the action Select all Items on All Tracks in Current time Selection. This link explains how to do it, scroll down to the How to add a hotkey to a keycap section.
http://www.reaperacc.es/getting_started.html
Steps
Use shift with up or down arrows to select the 3 tracks you want to work with. This is providing the 3 tracks are next to each other. It’s not currently possible to select 3 non contiguous tracks without having the SWS extensions install and using reaconsole.
once you have the 3 tracks selected move to where you want the start marker to be and press ALT+Left Bracket to set a start point.
Move to where you want the end of the selection to be and Press Alt+Right bracket to set the end point.
Press the hotkey you assigned to Select all items on all selected tracks in current time selection to select between the start and end points on the 3 selected tracks.
You can now copy and or cut and paste.
Alternatively you can try this. I haven’t used this way in a while so may be a little off.
Use Shift with up or down arrows to select the three tracks.
use ctrl+Shift+Right or left arrows to select all items on the three tracks.
Then move to where you want and set the start point with ALT+Left Bracket
and move the the end point and set with Alt Right bracket.
Then should be able to copy/cut.

With soundforge, I was using letter I for marking the start of the piece and letter O for the end. Between the two markers, I could cut, copy or delete. Is there a way to proceed similarly with Reaper? Could I group two or three tracks for puting markers on all track a the same time?
