[RWP] A good soundcard for a voice over talent?

Digital is nice, but has it's own issues, not all pres have digital
paths, and you have to make sure everything matches up, which can often
be a headache especially with these inaccessible control pannels.
You can have jitter and clocking issues,

Digital is not automatically better than analog, just because it's
digital in other words.

Analog, a good clean balanced one has the advantage of not caring what
sampling rate, or clock you put to it, and this is a wonderful way to
get around rounding errors and re-sampling issues.

I often use my delta cards to dump between my mackie onyx 1640i
going either way when I want to say take something from 24/96 to
16 bit 44.1
rather than dithering down with software.

The analog pathway on the mackie is quieter than the delta, but since I
have the 44 and the 10 10, the balanced versions of the delta cards,
it's much quieter than the 10 10 lt.

Also some pres do adat lightpipe, but if it doesn't support esmux you
are stuck at 48k.

so i guess what I'm saying is that good analog i/o which can accept
descrete line inputs, or input from another pre is more valuable,
atleast to me, than better dacs.

Also, if you have pedals, keyboards, or anything with a line level out-put,
it will always be 100 percent compatible.
and work with both old and new gear.
