Here's the deal with MOTU Audio Express accessibility.
Yes, the basic audio console, where you adjust latency, clock source,
sampling rate, pedal options, etc. is completely accessible. The part
that isn't is cue Mix FX, which is used for creating mixes in the box.
However, 99% of what it does can be achieved directly from the front
panel of the unit itself. Those parts that can't, like, for example, how
parts of the headphone mix and mix return are handled, are all in menus.
So, although the main bit of the program isn't accessible, the three
things I need it to do can be gotten to through menus.
The only two things I've not found a work-around for, and they are very
small, is stereo channel gain knob linking, and the ability to flip
channels out of phase.
Really, not a big deal, since you can flip phase in a DAW anyway, and
the knobs click.
