[RWP] Mobile Audio Interface & REAPER

Hello Patrick, David, Mario and all,

Many thanks for sharing this discussion with us. I’m also looking for a mobile USB sound device. However, for what I need, standalone capabilities, (i.e. the ability to use it with a computer running reaper, or without it), would be nice.

In addition, since I am not a professional, cheaper good sound rather than more expensive high quality sound would be enough and better fits my amateur budget.

Such requirements led me to the Zoom R24. This device is said to be an all-in-one audio interface, standalone multitrack recorder, mixer and control surface. But could it be really useful for a totally blind person like me?

Many thanks in advance. Have a nice day. Chris D

If the control panel for the VSL software is like most other Presonus interfaces I've seen, except for the old Audiovox USB interfaces, you probably won't get much out of it. I can't actually speak for the hardware of this, or either of the other two interfaces you mentioned.

Hi & Greetings from the Winter Wonderland of the Southern Hemisphere,

Okay, I am going mobile with my recordings, and so have been looking at several audio interfaces that may fill the requirement.

So far have looked at these:

Mackie Blackjack
Presonus 22VSL
Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6

Has anyone had any experience with any of these, if so what are your Pros & Cons, and if there are any others that one might recommend, I would be very appreciative for your thoughts.

I have found out that the NI Audio 6 has a Control Panel, and going on how the majority of NI products are totally Inaccessable to us, I figure that this would probably follow suit.

I am specifically looking for a USB bus powered audio interface, as probably most are these days.

Kind regards
