yeh, most of these inexpensive mixers are just a stereo mix down capture 
device.

You need to spend a little more money to get descrete recording multi-i/o.
Still, if you are only recording 2 tracks at a time, is enough for some.

the problem is with these devices is that they mostly only use class 
compliant drivers and don't have dedicated asio, and that has limitations.
