Window-Eyes refuses to run both 64 bit Reaper and ReaAccess
simultaneously, although Jaws, NVDA and System Access have no problem.
I was happy for years in 32 bit XP, running any version of Reaper, plus
Sonar 8.5.3 with an older
6.1 version of Window-Eyes, which is really powerful at digging buttons
out of native VST interfaces.
I haven't tried Kontakt in 32 bits with Window-Eyes 6.1, so can't say
how that would work.
Once I became disillusioned with Wineyes on 64 bit Windows 7, I quickly
got used to running NVDA for mail and now am totally addicted to the way
it streaks along on the web, fast as light.
I'm also making some music with it on Windows 7, but will go back to XP
any old time to work more comfortably.
I use NVDA's review at the number pad, but believe both Jaws and Wineyes
still have the edge doing screen exploration at the number pad.
Sometimes, though, NVDA can see screen buttons the other screenreaders
can't, and it's getting more powerful with each release.
I'm on NVDA this very second, and love it for what it does best.
Indi.
