  Well, technically, the old Delta cards use a via chipset, as they bought Ensemble. I remember about ten years ago buying a cheap PCI sound card, which I intended to use for general purpose stuff. It was based on the same chip as the Deltas, the Envy24. Well, it was pretty clean, but that's about all I could say for it. The card pretty well sucked otherwise. Then again, it was a $20 experiment.
