[RWP] Loading multiple samples in Sforzando?

I'm stymied at the moment, having lost faith in Windows XP, after such a
simple thing as a shorted out headphone jack caused extensive damage to
all kinds of files in my music computer.
Something got tangled up in the 3.5mm audio cable behind my desk, where
nobody should be; and nothing I know of could have pulled the cable so
hard it stretched and broke, and wrecked the headphone jack; a totally
unexplainable accident.
I took the computer to a very honest local shop, who only charged me
$20 to unplug the proper cable from the unrepairable shorted-out
headphone jack, so the computer is working great now, I just don't have
the faith in XP's stability to go through all programs and try to repair
the damage that the short caused.
Instead, I've ordered an Asus Xoner PCI express sound card, intending to
remove RealTech entirely and configure a new hard drive with Windows 7
64, with speech coming from the Asus sound card.
In a couple of days I'll begin the daunting task of setting up all those
drivers and music programs, install all my favorite VST plugs, get
Novation Nocturn configured in Reaper, and hopefully get the whole
complicated rig to work again on 64-bit Windows 7.
It's also a good excuse to increase the current 8 gigs of ram to 16.
The repairman agreed that the MCI MS7680MI is a wonderfully sstable
motherboard, and the very low cost I7 machine has given not even a
second of problems, until the accident.
When you consider all the millions of events that need to happen in an
exact order for these gadgets to work, it's a wonder how dependable they
mostly are.
