Does the TC not have spdif outputs itself? Sounds like googol ing for reviews may be the way to go here. And the EMU has really nice PreAmps I can’t see how they cruddy up the XLR outs of the TC. Another option is to use XLR to 1/4 Balanced cables and use the balanced line in thus bypassing the PreAmps on the EMU. Or Sell the Emu and get something with nicer Pres. as that unit is a bit old these days.
