[RWP] Patch and bank changes: Something I should know, but can't figure out

This is something I wonder how to do as well.
When using my Roland keybord as hardware, if local mode is off and
performance mode is on, I can do bank and patch Changes in Quick
windows sequencer.
After that if I'm in Reaper and select the keybord as both input and
output I can then import the sequenced midi file into reaper.
However after that when the file is in Reaper I don't know how to
change banks or patches either.
Apparently you're supposed to be able to do this using the reaper
reacontrolmidi plugin, but I can't seem to change anything using that
plugin.
Either there's something I've missed or it isn't that accessible for us.
