[RWP] question about .flac files

Hi there.

I have a question about .flac files.

I notice that lately when I convert a .wav to .flac, the bitrate ranges from
294kbps to 362kbps, the upper range not being much better than an mp3 at
320kbps.  Other .flac files range from 579kbps to 611kbps and even as high
as 847kbps.

I always use the same program to convert and always use compression level 8
and the source .wav files are always at a consistent 1411kbps so I'm
wondering what would cause such inconsistent results?
