[RWP] Translating presets between different DAW formats

Hi all,

Forgive the double posting, this is going out to two lists for the two
DAWs I use.

I'm wondering whether anybody knows of a way to translate plugin
presets between formats? At the moment, if I save out a bunch of
presets in let's say .fxp format, they work fine in Reaper, but no
dice in Pro Tools. Similarly, if I spend hours with someone saving
presets in Pro Tools native format, they're not recognised by Reaper.
I asked Google about this, but he didn't know. Strikes me that seeing
as these formats don't seem to have any encryption, a translator could
probably be written, but are there existing tricks that I've missed
out on already?
