[RWP] a newbie, not to the list but to reaper itself

Hi there.

 

I was on this list a while ago when I was looking at reaper and I've
resubscribed.  I'm wanting to take a more serious look at reaper
specifically in terms of being able to access additional parameters in vst
plugins that may not be accessible in other limited applications I've been
using so far, if that makes sense.

 

I've been doing a lot of work lately with something called the one sample
dare, hosted over at ambientonline.org and I'm wanting to expand my
capabilities with manipulating samples to create different soundscapes and
ambient creations out of them.  

 

As cool as audacity and sound forge are, I'm hoping that reaper will give me
more capabilities for this kind of work that aren't possible in the
aforementioned hosts.

 

Well, that's my new intro, at least for now.
