Hi & Greetings from The Land Down Under,

In REAPER the function you require is called Ripple Editing.

Alt plus P will cycle thru the 3 Settings: Off , 1Trak or All Traks.

When Ripple Editing is On, when you paste the Audio what is underneath and
to the right, will all be moved to the right by the amount of audio you are
pasting.

Kind regards

Subject: [RWP] Pasting audio

Hi, I'm trying to get Reaper to act differently when Pasting some audio.
Currently it pastes over the top of the audio that's already there. I'd like
it to paste the new audio and then move the old audio to after the newly
pasted audio ends. In Sonar this was very simple, as I was given the option
to paste over the top of the audio, replace the existing audio with the new
audio and delete the old audio, or to move the old audio to after the pasted
audio. However, there is no dialogue box that comes up when I paste in
Reaper; it merely pastes on top of the audio.

Any ideas? Thanks.
