Hmm, well if ReaAccess wasn't communicating with the Reaper API at all
he'd be seeing much weirder behaviour than this, no announcement of
tracks and statuses and suchlike. Either way, a reinstall can't hurt
seeing as it's less than a minutes work to find out whether it fixes
anything.
