[RWP] Need advice about hardware configurations and Reaper?

That's exactly what i did.

Just enough space behind the mixing desk for me to grunt and cuss my way 
back there if I have to.

And after you'd done this a hundred years, you get a feel for how to 
route things, but it's never perfect.

Even if you have some patch bays, which i do, and follow all the cable 
management skills right, you'll always have some arrant cable deciding 
to tangle up while you were sleeping, and that's just the price you pay 
for doing this crazy gig 'grin'.
