Hmmm. I wonder why in the CAVI, Cisco Vision Wicki for Audio Editing
Fundamentals you find the following recommendations on what learning tools
students need to have.:

"...The programs explicitly taught and supported by the course is below:
Reaper 3.78
A powerful multi-track editor that comes in 32 or 64-bit. An evaluation
copy is
available and the standard user license is $60. We prefer that you use the
32-bit
version for maximum plug-in compatibility.
Reaccess
an important accessibility add-in for Reaper.
Goldwave,
the single track editor we use in class, either the infinite license or 1
year trial
for $20."

First of all, do you need to use anything that explicitly requires 32-bit
reaper, I.E. old DirectX plugins? If not, then just use the 64-bit version
of Reaper. I still use some plugins that won't run on a 64-bit host, so I
use the 32-bit version, even on Windows 7 64.

Yes, you can technically use the latest version of Reaper with the current
version of ReaAccess, with some caveats that don't exist with 3.x versions,
mainly related to the track view and some context menus.

	Hello,
So, I want to run the 32 Bit reaper on my 64 bit Windows 7.
Should I first install the 64 bit, install Rea Access, then install
Reaper 32 bit?
Or how can I install the 32 bit on my 64 bit system?

Also, Can I use the latest version of reaper with the latest version
of Rea Access?
	thank you,

Let me guess. You are running a 64-bit operating system, and
you installed the 32-bit version of Reaper v3.78?
The ReaAccess installer doesn't take into account that you
might actually want to use that configuration, and thus, won't install
unless you use the 64-bit Reaper, then run the installer again.
There is a work-around for this, which involves manually
copying a few files and importing the ReaAccess keymap, if you don't already
have the 64-bit Reaper+ReaAccess installed.

As for ReaAccess 2, that was supposed to happen three years
ago, and it's creator seems to have jumped off the edge of the flat world,
providing no source code for anyone to play with, so the current version
(1.30) is the latest that exists, until another solution comes along.

			Hi all,

I downloaded the recommended version of Reaper 3.78
for the CAVI Audio Fundamentals class coming up in July sometime.

Clicking on the Reaccess link on the Cisco Vision
site produced nothing. After Googling for Reaccess, I was brought to a page
that promises a newly updated reaccess and support. After clicking on the
download reaccess link, I am told that "some components are missing" and to
please start and close reaper. I've done that several times before again
retrying to install reaccess 2, whereupon I am told again that there are
some components missing and to please start and close Reaper.

Any ideas on what I am missing. I am currently
running an evaluation copy of Reaper on a 64 bit I3, 8gb machine running
Windows 7.

			Thanks,

			John
