Can you change presets with program change messages sent from your midi
keyboard?
If your midi keyboard has onboard sounds, it should transmit midi
program change when you change its built-in sounds.
Running Window-Eyes, and maybe with NVDA, I get a list of factory
presets on the FX Routing page brought up with F from track view.
I press the tab key until I get the preset list, then up/down arrow
through it.
This works in Z3ta, Image Line Sytrus, Rob Papen's Blue, Predator, and
SubBoomBass, also in Albino and many others.
Some more complex VST plugs, like Camel Audio's Alchemy, will respond to
program change messages, but it's a little tricky whether you get all
its presets.
I'm always running Alchemy from control surfaces with their own knob
selected program change, which is convenient.
I also found locations on its interface to access presets.
Sorry, I never got into writing bank select and program messages myself,
so can't help there.
