the Roland should be very dependable.
I've used the Edirol PCR predecessor to the Cakewalk/Roland controllers
for years, and it's never given problems, has nice controls and a
stiff-sprung action that at's so much better than the flabby Yamaha
action on their keyboards.
You get almost fifty assignable controls.

don't know if they make an 88 key version though.
